Today I wanted to do a roundup of what to look for when you’re evaluating cell phone spy programs.  Although many of them have similar basic features, there are some that are far better than others.

When most people go hunting for a cell phone spying program, they want to be able to read the text messages from the persons phone.  It’s the most commonly searched for feature, and this makes sense…..

After all, text messages seem to be the most common way that people communicate now and they will talk about everything by text.

But there’s so much more that you can see with cell phone spy programs.

For example, your program should give you a complete list of ALL phone calls – both made and received.  This is a straightforward feature.

You should also be able to see the address book from the phone and match up the address book entry with any of the calls from the phone.

Oh yeah – and make sure you can see any deleted text messages.  Even if they’re deleted from the phone you should still be able to see them.

Some of the more advanced features that I love about Mobile Spy, and that aren’t available on many cell phone spy programs are:

- See all of the photos taken with the phone.  This is handy as lots of people take pictures with their cell now, so you’ll be able to see where they’ve been.

- See any videos recorded on the phone

- Be able to track the physical location of the cell.  At any time, you can view on a map where the phone (and the person) is at all times

- Look at any web browsing that’s done on the phone

- Incredibly fast installation – can have it set up in no more than two minutes

And I know I’m leaving some out, but the bottom line is that many cell phone spy programs don’t offer the features I listed.  Yet they all cost around the same, so why pay the same but get less?

Even if you don’t think you’ll use all of these features, they’re there for you if you need them.  And combined, they give you one heck of a spying tool!

Cell phone spy programs have grown in popularity, so it’s not surprising that more and more companies are releasing them to try to make a buck.  However, it’s the long-standing, reliable programs like Mobile Spy that will stand above the rest of the cell phone spy programs when the dust clears!
